Although Phil is now one of the leading financial advisers in the industry, he actually started his working life as an IT professional in 1990. Although he excelled in that industry for 14 years, his heart was more interested in helping people improve their lives.
He knew he needed a career change; something where he could make a real difference. And since financial planning has always been something he enjoyed doing for himself, his future direction soon became crystal clear…
In 2004, Phil became a Financial Adviser and received a diploma in Financial Planning through Tribeca in 2005. In the same year, he received an advance diploma in Financial Planning. He became a Certified Financial Planner in 2008. He worked for a mid-sized Financial Services firm for almost 10 years and decided to leave and go into business with his lovely wife, Donna. Phil has helped clients succeed by listening to their concerns and coaching them to become better money managers and wealth accumulators.
Most of Phil’s clients come to him wanting more structure, discipline, and direction with regard to their financial situation. All of them now have these, as well as understanding of the path they are on.Seeing clients succeed is Phil’s greatest reward in this industry. He’s also a big believer sharing knowledge to help change people’s lives, and really enjoys turning his clients’ dreams into reality – one financial plan at a time.
Practice what you preach—if I haven’t done it myself, then how can I ask my client to do it? – Phil

As well as being dozzi’s Managing Director, Caleb is also the Founder and Senior Financial Adviser. Caleb has over 15 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, starting out at just 14 years old, working in the family business while completing school and university.
Caleb has always been passionate about a long career in financial planning and felt he could make a real difference to those around him, so he dedicated himself to learning and practising every role financial planning had to offer.
These vast experiences and thorough understanding of the financial services industry highlighted to Caleb plenty of great aspects of the industry, but also areas which he felt were out-dated, too expensive, and can at times favour firms providing the advice, not the clients paying for it.
Caleb realised that the only way to make a positive difference was to build it from scratch. This led to his decision to launch dozzi Financial Advice in January 2017.
What excites Caleb about the creation of dozzi, is that he can say that every decision made, centres around the needs of our clients. From our independence, our structure, our fee model and the way we work. It has all been carefully developed to deliver better value and service to our clients.
Caleb is committed to demonstrating value to his clients by offering them intelligent financial advice and a high level of customer service. He passionately believes in the role that tertiary education plays in adequately preparing Advisers to deliver great advice. Caleb holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning, Investments, and Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Personal Financial Planning. He was one of the youngest in Australia to complete the Certified Financial Planner™ qualification, the highest financial planning industry designation in the world.
Outside of the office Caleb can be found with his wife and three young boys (a large part of his motivation for dozzi), at the golf club, or keeping active at the gym.

Hiring a financial planner is an expensive process, but it’s worth the expense. According to the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the average cost for an initial set-up of a complete financial plan can range from $3,000 to $4,000 depending on your situation and what tasks you want your financial advisor to perform. Then it can be $4,000 to $5,000 for annual maintenance.
For instance if someone wants holistic advice about their overall finances as well as specific goals set out in advance then this could be more costly than just getting some advice when needed (such as annual tax returns or investments strategy alone).
The majority of the best financial advisors in Brisbane are based in the city centre. However, there are a number of financial planners who operate out of offices in the Inner city suburbs of Milton and Newstead.
Also note that virtual appointments are becoming more and more popular, so if you can’t find an available financial advisor in your area then reach out to one of these. They will more than likely be happy to help.
We have reviewed all of the financial advisors in Brisbane to compile a list of the best financial planners. To determine our top ten advisors, we assessed their qualifications, how long they have been advising, testimonials, and their track record of reviews on Google and Facebook. Only those that have consistent positive feedback have been included on our list of best financial planners in Brisbane.
It’s important to find the right financial planner for you, but it can be a complicated process as there are many different types of financial advisors. If you are looking for the best financial planner in Brisbane, here are some factors you should consider.
First, what types of qualifications and accreditations do they have? This does not necessarily make them the most capable or best financial planner for you, but at least you know that they’ve done the appropriate tests and registrations.
Second, what type of clients do they have and do they specialise in any areas? This can help you determine if they have relevant experience and expertise with similar situations.
Finally, how is their communication and are you comfortable with him/her? You need to know that you can have an open line of communication with your financial advisor and that they will listen to your concerns and answer your questions in a timely manner.
